inspections

Our inspection techniques have been developed over the past  5 years by working at dealerships and in marine mechanical workshops. We know what problems generally slip by and how to find them. We also appreciate good quality and know it when we see it. You will receive a comprehensive 4 part report (Hull, Engine, Trailer, Water Test*) which will detail our findings in regards to the boat in question.

Our senior technician has over 16 years experience in the Commercial Marine Industry and is a qualified skipper as well. This brings a high level of competence when it comes to water testing combined with the diagnosis of boats.

Water Testing

By far the most effective test, how else could you know the balance of a boat at rest and underway ( some lean over at speed ) and how it performs under load (does it reach top rpm)? Sellers don’t like water testing unless the sale is for certain, because it takes time and the boat has to be cleaned again. That’s fair, many have adopted a deposit to buy “subject to water test”, if the boat tests well , then great, if not, Thank God for water tests, and you can keep looking for another boat or negotiate repairs. For a small fee we can do the water test for you too.

Prices depend on boat size and location, in the brisbane area the average cost is $150. Water test's attract a $50 fee due to the extra time it takes. large boats are generally $180 (Gold or Sunshine coast will attract a $30 surcharge).
